I just got a preliminary pass yesterday on my 3rd attempt! It's been a VERY long journey that started approximately 4 years ago. I was so disappointed, stressed and frustrated when I didn't pass, especially on the 2nd attempt. I tried all the study programs (Zahn, Kaplan, Dalton, etc.) and did everything in the study guide. I felt like I wasn't connecting with the material no matter how many hours I studied. The study plans are great for some especially for accountability purposes but I knew if I only did a standard study program again I would be hitting my head against the wall and still wouldn't truly understand the concepts. I knew I needed something different. I truly believe that Paul was the gamechanger for me. Paul made me understand the material on a deeper level and focused more on my weak areas. He taught me how to read the questions and avoid the traps alongside the material. On questions, he would ask me why I something was the right answer and why the others were wrong. That really built up my confidence going into the 3rd attempt.

I did my coursework through Kaplan and Brett Danko for my Live Review. Both options were great, but I just needed more time with the material and understanding it at a deeper level. I came across a Webinar where Madison Watson was on the panel. She talked about how she made the mistake of having the same game plan on her first two attempts at this exam before trying something different. She locked in with a Tutor, Paul Austin, and that was what got her pass the finish line. I took her advice and reached out to Paul and started working with him since September last year. He was the absolute game changer for me, and I cannot recommend him enough. Paul worked with me to learn how to pick up the clues in the questions, knowing what concept they're testing and how to avoid the traps that this exam throws at you. We would go through hundreds of questions and taking it to a deeper level to understanding why the answer you chose was right and what makes the other answers wrong. He would encourage me to have a day of rest each week to rest and reset which is very much needed.
